Before founding Sound Bioventures, Bibhash worked for seven years in venture capital investing, mainly in the biotech practice of New Enterprise Associates (NEA).
Bibhash also has over seven years of Pharma business development and corporate strategy experience from both AstraZeneca and Johnson & Johnson. He has been involved in multiple private investments (including current Board Director roles at Arthex and Aboleris), M&A deals and IPOs from the venture capital side (Including PhaseBio, Surface Oncology, Ardelyx, Trevi, Polyneuron, Qpex Bio, Nightstar) and multiple major in-licensing, divestiture and acquisitions from the pharma side. He has also been involved in multiple cross-border (Europe / US) deals and also holds advisory roles in several life science incubators (including Bio Innovation Institute- BII, August Care and Toronto Innovation Accelerator Partnership- TIAP).
